Phobia of the Day: Cacophobia

A phobia is an anxiety disorder involving excessive and persistent fear of a situation or object. Exposure to the source of the fear triggers an immediate anxiety response.
Most specific phobias fall into one of four major categories:
Fears of the natural environment
Fears related to animals
Fear related to medical treatments or issues
Fears related to specific situations
Phobia of the Day: Cacophobia refers to the fear of ugliness
The symptoms of Cacophobia can be different in each individual case. Symptoms may vary from one person to the other. Some of them are as follows:
Feeling anxious when thinking or near something that is “ugly”.
Inability to cope with strong emotions.
Judgmental and self-critical towards others.
Disgust when looking or thinking about something that is “ugly”.
Low self-esteem.
Have a very poor self-image.

Use self-help resources.
Take a course for your specific phobia.
