The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has shifted the date and venue of the party’s Southwest congress.

The exercise will now hold on April 12, as against March 10 that the exercise was initially billed to hold.

Also, the venue of the congress has been shifted from Ibadan in Oyo State to Osogbo, the Osun State capital.

The PDP, in a statement yesterday by its spokesman, Kola Ologbondiyan, said the shift in date and venue was part of the resolutions taken by the party leadership to resolve the festering crisis in Southwest PDP.

The PDP national leadership said it would work with stakeholders “to achieve a seamless and unifying congress of our great party in the Southwest.”

“PDP urges leaders of our party, critical stakeholders and teeming members of our party in the Southwest and the nation at large to be accordingly guided,” the statement said.
