The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State has slammed the Governor Kayode Fayemi administration over the alleged deteriorating security situation in the state.

The opposition party berated the governor for allegedly failing to address the rising rate of banditry, kidnapping and its attendant killings, saying the people had lost confidence in the All Progressives Congress (APC) government.

The party, in a statement by its state Publicity Secretary, Mr. Raphael Adeyanju, said the governor’s body language showed that he lacked the political will and capacity to tackle headlong the security challenges.

PDP said Fayemi should make Ekiti safe for residents and visitors.

But the APC state Publicity Secretary, Mr. Ade Ajayi, said the PDP ought to be ashamed of itself because it was the least qualified to talk about insecurity in the state.

The party described PDP as a bunch of critics who are only poised to stage a ‘utopian’ return to the Government House by attempting to de-market Governor Fayemi.
