Otto Addo urges Black Stars to stick to plan despite poor results

Black Stars technical teamBlack Stars head coach Otto Addo has urged his players to remain committed to their strategy despite recent disappointing performances. This comes after Ghanas 2-0 defeat to Sudan, a result that has left the teams chances of qualifying for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco hanging by a thread. In an extensive interview, Addo described the loss to Sudan, led by former Ghana coach James Kwasi Appiah, as a “hard pill” to swallow. However, he emphasized the need to improve the teams mentality to overcome such setbacks.”The boys have it, its just a mental thing,” Addo said. “For us, its very, very important. When things go wrong, we need to stick to the plan.”He highlighted the importance of discipline and belief in the teams tactical approach, stressing that following the game plan is key to getting back on track. “The players have to learn to be brave and believe in the plan, or else we have a problem,” Addo added.Despite the mounting pressure, Addo remains optimistic that sticking to the plan will help the Black Stars overcome their current struggles and restore their winning ways.
