Osun pensioners protest salary arrears

Pensioners on Wednesday morning besieged the entrance of Osun Secretariat, Abere to protest over unpaid 30-month salary arrears and pension.
The protesters, who retired between 2016 till date, stormed the secretariat from as early as 8am in their scores with placards.
The inscription on the placards read: “Masses help us we are dying”; “Gov Oyetola, The dead cannot enjoy road project” and “Pay us our 30 months salary arrears”, amongst others.
They were chanting anti-government songs.

The prevented workers from entering and leaving the secretariat.
The protest was led by Chief Sobaloju Adeyemi.
The protesters claimed that the government has not placed them on contributory pension scheme
