Orlando Pirates to ship out winger in January after only one season
Orlando Pirates are set to loan out their winger Katlego Otladisa in the January transfer window.
According to his agent Nimrod Mbhalati, three Betway Premiership clubs are keen to sign the former Marumo Gallants star. Otladisa has not featured in the Betway Premiership this season and with the likes of Relebohile Mofokeng showing great form, it remains unlikely that the skilful left-winger will even play five matches.
Otladisa joined Pirates in July 2023 on a long-term contract and made nine league appearances last season. Mbhalati told FARPost that he would sit down with the club’s management to discuss the winger’s future at the club.
“I’m yet to sit down with Orlando Pirates management and find solutions regarding this situation, and it’s highly unlikely for that meeting to happen now because, obviously, the window period is closed,” he said.
Orlando Pirates winger had to play in the league this season
“So, let’s wait and see what will happen when the time for the meeting is right. But yes, there is interest in the boy from a few clubs, and it’s also evident that he’s not playing.
“He is at an age where he should be getting more minutes, but we will cross that bridge when we get there. The boy is strong, and we support him together with his family; they are very supportive. I personally talk to him daily, and he is positive and working hard,” said Otladisa’s agent.
Gilberto is another Orlando Pirates winger who has struggled to find his feet this season. The Angolan international signed with the club this season but has found the going tough.
Should Pirates release otladisa?
