Orlando Pirates Number 10 Jersey: Jomo Sono Comments

Orlando Pirates icon Jomo Sono has been watching Relebohile Mofokeng.

JOMO SONO POINTS TO IRVIN KHOZA

As you may all know, the club’s jersey number 10 shirt has been retired for around 20 years when it was stripped off Steve Lekoelea for unprofessional discipline.

As Orlando Pirates’ greatest-ever number 10, Sono previously told the media there is no player deserving of that shirt number. Asked if Mofokeng has shown enough talent to take it, Sono said the decision is on the chairman Irvin Khoza.

“You must ask [Irvin] Khoza,” Sono said via the Sowetan.

“Speak to Khoza because he’s the owner of the club, that’s why I’m mentioning his name.

. “The player who has a bright future is Mofokeng. He’s exciting…a genius,” Sono concluded.

ORLANDO PIRATES STAR RELEBOHILE MOFOKENG IMPRESSING MANDLA MASANGO

Orlando Pirates attacker Relebohile Mofokeng is continuing to show special talent with feet. Find out what Mandla Masango thinks.

The 20-year-old has started this season with four goals and five assists in 15 games. His technique and elegance delight Masango the most.

“He’s an amazing player. He is one for the future, if he can down. He’s a very humble boy. I normally compare him to Roger Federer.

“If you are a tennis lover, you would understand how Roger plays. Everything that he did was flawless. Nothing forced. He makes things look easier. That’s what Rele is doing.

“You can see the way he’s so matured, decision-making, top when to dribble, when to release the ball. You can have all t world, but also you need to work hard and be humble. Before the footballer, you are a human being. I wish him all the best,” the former Kaizer Chiefs winger attacker added.

TEKO MODISE’S ADVICE FOR PATRICK MASWANGANYI

We can expect Orlando Pirates forward Patrick Maswanganyi to score and create goals for Bafana Bafana soon.

Maswanganyi, affectionately known as “Tito,” delighted his fans with two goals in two matches for Bafana Bafana in the past week. Former Orlando Pirates superstar Teko Modise played a role.

“I have spoken to Tito (Patrick Maswanganyi) personally, and I said he becomes so dangerous whenever he plays in and around the box,” Modise said on SuperSport TV.

“All these other things, they are nice on the eye, but at the end of the day, if you want to be a Bafana Bafana player, a regular Bafana Bafana player, you need to be in and around the box.

“With his creativity and skill, you need to be scoring goals, and I am glad he scored his second goal for Bafana,” Modise concluded.
