Orlando Pirates can get R100 million by selling these two stars
Orlando Pirates have already bagged in R22 million this season already thanks to winning the MTN8 and reaching the CAF Champions League group stages.
The Buccaneers can still secure more money in the bank if they win the Betway Premiership, Nedbank Cup or the CAF CL. Jose Riveiro has had success this season losing only one match in the 15 games his team played so far.
Orlando Pirates have already secured R22 million this campaign
The Spanish coach has been credited for bringing in young players such as Relebohile Mofokeng and Mohau Nkota. The two 20-year-olds have fitted into the current team like a glove and will play a huge role this season if the Buccaneers are to win big.
Although Mofokeng has played for three seasons now, Nkota made his debut for a few months ago for the Sea Robbers. His football journey began in Kimberly, where he turned out for a few local clubs before being drafted in Orlando Pirates’ youth structures. His eye-catching performances in the Diski Challenge made him one of the league’s standout players, eventually earning him a spot in the First Team.
Like Mofokeng, Nkota looks like a million dollar star and will definitely surprise many this season. His partner in crime, Rele Mofokeng has attracted interest from European teams. Given that he is now part of the Bafana Bafana team, the 20-year-old’s price tag is expected to rise.
Before the season started, the Orlando Pirates star was valued at around R18 million. If the Buccaneers were to win the Betway Premiership, his price tag could sour to £3 million(R69 million). Nkota on the other hand could also be worth £1 million if he continues to produce the goods until the end of the season.
Former Kaizer Chiefs star Mandla Masango said Mofokeng doesn’t have to go to Chelsea, Manchester City, or Barcelona. He believes the Dutch league will be a stepping stone for the 20-year-old winger.
Where should Mofokeng go next season?
