Wednesday, February 16, 2022 – KANU Chairman Gideon Moi has clarified that One Kenya Alliance (OKA) leaders will join Azimio La Umoja Movement and endorse former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s presidential bid in August.
Addressing KANU aspirants at the party headquarters in Nairobi on Tuesday, Moi who is also the Baringo County Senator, said talks are at an advanced stage for OKA to join Raila Odinga’s Azimio to form the government in August.
“We shall be joining the Azimio La Umoja Movement. This is the time to choose the leader who can solve the problems we face right now,” Gideon said.
Gideon also added they are in the process of talking to their members and come with a Memorandum of understanding (MOU) and shall inform Kenyans of more information later.
So far, Wiper Democratic Movement party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Narc Kenya Chairperson Martha Karua, former Lugari Member of Parliament Cyrus Jirongo, who are members of OKA, have not commented on the issue.
