Offinso goes dark as young players are laid to rest
Eight juvenile players who died at Offinso in the recent tragedy were laid to rest.

The burial took place this morning at Offinso in the Ashanti
Region, specifically at the forecourt of the Offinso Palace.
Four players who are Muslims have already been buried with respect to the Islamic Religious demands.

The sad incident occurred on September 19, 2020 when players and officials of African Soccer Vision Academy were returning from Kumasi to register for the upcoming juvenile league.
The bus carrying the team hit a tree and then fell into the Offin River.
The burial ceremony was attended by a delegation led by Minister of Youth and Sports and the Director General of National Sports Authority were at the burial ceremony.
Also present at the funeral were Executive Committee members of the Ghana Football Association and the Ashanti Regional Football Association.

FIFA and CAF have all sent their condolences to the bereaved
families.
