National Juvenile Committee maps out plans for 2024/2025 football season

The National Juvenile Committee (NJC) held a strategic meeting on Thursday, September 26, 2024, to plan for the upcoming juvenile football season.Chaired by Vice Chairman Joesalam Abubakar in the absence of Chairman and Ghana FA President Kurt Okraku, the meeting focused on reviewing past competitions and mapping out future youth football activities.A key agenda item was the review of the KGL U17 Regional Championship, which took place in July.The committee analyzed both the successes and challenges of the competition, aiming to build on these experiences for the new season.Plans for the Colts U15 and U17 Festivals, covering both boys and girls, were also discussed, along with the format and tentative dates for the upcoming Elite U15 Boys Championship set for next month.Members in attendance included Michael Fiaduse, Gabriel Godwin Kwao, Alhaji Hamidu Abdulai, Samuel Anim Addo, and Kwame Boakye, with Maxwell Caesar from the FA’s competitions department.Regional Football Association Chairmen Osei Tutu Agyemang, Alhaji Daudi Sadugu, Samuel Aboabiri, and Alhaji Salifu Seidu Zida participated virtually.Detailed plans and resolutions from the meeting are expected to be announced soon, reflecting a focused approach to juvenile football development for the 2024/2025 season.
