Nasreddine Nabi reveals DATE he’ll leave Morocco to join Kaizer Chiefs

Nasreddine Nabi will soon be announced as the new coach of Kaizer Chiefs.

The 58-year-old Tunisian mentor has been linked with the club for several months. He was initially close to signing with Chiefs last year this time but the deal fell off. He then joined Moroccan Giants FAR Rabat on a two-year deal late last year. Towards the end of May, reports emerged that Nasreddine Nabi was back in the picture regarding the vacant coaching role at Kaizer Chiefs.

It was later revealed that the former Yanga coach had signed with Amakhosi. Nabi is currently still in Morocco after helping his side FAR Rabat to the Throne Final this past weekend.

“My greeting to the fans is out of love and not a farewell to the club. I am present in the final and we welcome any opponent who is able to reach the final confrontation,” Nabi said as per GOAL.

Nasreddine Nabi confirms Kaizer Chiefs is his next destination

“I hope to attend the Throne Cup final, God Almighty willing. I learned from friends of mine inside Raja some time ago about the final date and it was said that it will be the 30th of this month. Therefore, before I leave for Kaizer Chiefs in South Africa – to have my experience with them, I hope to guide The Royal Army. I will be crowned with them in the Throne Cup final.”

Nasreddine Nabi’s arrival at Kaizer Chiefs could be delayed by at least a week. The plan was to have the ex-Yanga mentor assess the players this week but with FAR reaching the final, the club will surely hold on to Nabi until the final. The Throne Cup final is scheduled for this Sunday.

Nabi to join Amakhosi on 1 July 2024?

After the final on 30th June, Nasreddine Nabi will only then be able to fly to South Africa and join Kaizer Chiefs. If AS FAR are victorious in the final, with the Tunisian coach leave the day after or join the trophy parade? only time will tell but for now, it looks like Nabi will join Amakhosi on 1 July.
