He reassured Kenyans living in Lebanon of their safety noting that evacuation operations are ongoing to ensure the well-being of all Kenyans in the affected areas.

“Since the onset of the conflict, Kenya has successfully facilitated the evacuation of over 300 of its citizens, with no casualties reported among our nationals. The evacuation efforts remain ongoing to ensure the safety of all Kenyans in the region,” said Mudavadi.

He called upon leaders across the Middle East to embrace dialogue and prioritize peace and stability in the region.

The ceasefire is expected to end Israeli attacks on Lebanese towns and cities after more than a year of fighting.

As part of the deal, Israeli troops will withdraw from Lebanon within 60 days, while the Lebanese military will take control of southern regions to prevent Hezbollah from reestablishing its forces.
