Mombasa: One arrested as police seize bhang worth Ksh25M in Kiembeni

One suspect has been arrested and 864.9 kilograms of bhang worth Ksh25 million recovered following a raid conducted at Green Estate in Kiembeni area, Mombasa County.

According to a report from Kadzandani Police Station, officers received a tip-off about a drug trafficker operating in the area.

After identifying the suspect’s house, police recovered 16 sacks of dry plant material believed to be bhang.

The wife of the alleged trafficker, identified as Cynthia Anyango, was arrested at the scene and is assisting police with investigations.

The confiscated drugs were handed over to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Anti-Narcotics Unit in Mombasa.
