Mohammed Salisu hails AS Monaco coach Adi Hutter as one of the finest he’s worked with
Ghanaian defender Mohammed Salisu has expressed high regard for AS Monaco’s head coach, Adi Hutter, calling him one of the finest coaches he has encountered in his career.Salisu made these remarks ahead of Monaco’s Ligue 1 clash against Olympique Marseille, which ended in a disappointing 2-1 defeat for the team, with Salisu playing the full match.Recently returning from an injury sustained during the 2025 AFCON qualifiers, Salisu had previously been sidelined after a setback in Ghana’s 2-0 loss to Sudan, a result that impacted Ghana’s qualification hopes for the tournament.Salisu noted the similarities between Hutter and his former coach in England, Ralph Hasenhttl, particularly praising their shared philosophy of high pressing, which aligns with his own playing style. He is similar to one of my former coaches in England, Ralph Hasenhttl. He has the same philosophy of play based on high pressing, a style that I particularly like and that corresponds to mine Salisu said.I feel like we have progressed a lot between last season and this one. So I would say that he is one of the best coaches I have worked under in my career.Currently, Monaco sits third in the Ligue 1 standings, with Hutter having previously led teams to success in the Champions League after winning the Swiss Super League with Red Bull Salzburg and Young Boys.
