Mitooma: Surprise as FDC Chairman Campaigns for NRM Candidate
Voters in Ruhinda South in Mitooma district were left in shock after the Greater Ruhinda FDC party chairman Tumusiime Adonia Bagorogoza rallied for support for NRM’s Agasha Juliet Bashisha.
Ms Bashisha is the NRM flag bearer for the Mitooma district Woman parliamentary seat.
She floored the incumbent Hon Jovah Kamateeka and others in the NRM primaries.
Speaking at Bukongoro Primary school playground on Monday, FDC’s Bagorogoza rallied voters to support NRM’s Bashisha since his own part has not fronted any candidate for this seat.
He was speaking at the official launch of manifesto of FDC’s Victor Atwiine who is vying for the Ruhinda South MP seat.
“As FDC, we see that Agasha Juliet Bashisha is the best candidate to represent the people of Mitooma so I request voters to support her”, Bagorogoza said.
On his part, the FDC candidate Atwiine vowed to fight to improve the wellbeing of chairmen LC1s once elected to parliament.
According to him, chairmen LC1s should at least be paid 300,000 monthly.
“The LC1s are being cheated because they do a lot of work and get paid less, I must fight for the rights”, Atwiine vowed.
Atwiine Victor is competing with NRM’s Captain Dononzio Kahonda, Byaruhanga Didas Kaginda and Atwebembeire Arthur Kazoora both independent candidates
