Miss Vonleh, 21, an indigenous of Rivercess County was crowned Miss Liberia on July 24, 2022, after queen Wokie Dolo held the crown for several years.

Since the rally, she has come under heavy criticism from Liberians both in and out of the country.

Christiana Jackson posted on social media (Facebook) and stressed that Miss Vonleh

voice will not be heard nor taken seriously because of her involvement in the election process.

“She’s no longer an independent queen of the Nation. Even the election commissioner has a party or candidate at heart for the presidency but because of the commissioner position now it is forbidden to identify with any party.”

Isaac K. Kamara posted and ask: “She is Miss CDC? Nonsense, Wokie Dolo we are very sorry.”

Edward Kai posted: “That political party miss or Miss Liberia?”

Sunday Rodney Tarn posted: “Miss Liberia 2017 Wokie Dolo never did this.”

Despite the barrage of criticism, another poster said she is a Liberian and as such has all the right to affiliate with which political institutions of her choice.

D. Abraham Georgejaye posted: “Our queen is a citizen and also has the right to affiliate with any other political party she chooses.”
