Minister promises to implement report on creative industry

Minister of Information and Culture Lai Mohammed on Wednesday received the report of the implementation committee for post-Covid-19 initiatives on creative industry, with a promise to study and begin implementation in earnest.

The committee has as chairman, Otunba Segun Runsewe, and its members are Ali Baba (deputy chairman), Anita Eboigbe, Baba Agba and Joe Mutah (secretary).

The minister said: “We are here today to receive the report of the Implementation Committee for the Post-Covid-19 Initiatives Committee on the Creative Industry.

“I am reliably informed that the report we are receiving today has been ready for some weeks, but could not be submitted due to scheduling problems.

“I can assure you that we will study the report and commence its implementation in earnest.”

He also lauded the members of the committer for their great sense of duty, and their painstaking work that culminated in the report.
