State Minister for Luwero Triangle Hon Alice Kaboyo on Thursday delivered brand new motorcycles to the Local Council 3 chairpersons of Luwero district in Western Uganda.
The motorcycles were handed over to the Sub County and town council at the Luwero district head offices.
A total of 15 sub county chairpersons and 10 town council chairpersons received the motorcycles to help them with mobility around their jurisdiction.

The Minister, during the commissioning, appealed to the chairpersons to utilize the motorcycles efficiently to do government’s work.
She also thanked the leaders for being patient.
“This pledge was made around 2018 and now it is here. The government might delay on its promise but it never forgets,” she said.
Kaboyo said she also carried motorcycles to be handed to the leaders in the local government neighboring districts of Nakaseke and Nakasongola at a later date.
Kaboyo addressing the chairpersons
Sub County leaders around the country had asked the government to give them motor vehicles, but the government opted for motorcycles due to budget restraints and also because most sub county roads are not motorable.
