Midfielder Sherif Mohammed bids farewell to Asante Kotoko as he departs club
Midfielder Sherif Mohammed has said his final goodbye to Asante Kotoko after severing ties with the club.The versatile midfielder leaves the Ghanaian giants after a solid three-year spell with the club.The 22-year-old joined the Porcupine Warriors in 2021 August from Steadfast FC and contributed significantly to help the club annex the Premier League title.Sherif officially took to social media to announce his departure from the two-time CAF Champions League holders.I’m grateful to Asante Kotoko SC, its management, coaches, players, and fans for three incredible years with this great club. As my contract ends today, I reflect on the unforgettable memories, experiences, and growth. I wish the club the best this season. Cheers he wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.The 22-year-old midfielder was an integral member of Kotoko before his involvement accident prior to the start of the 2023/24 second round. Sherif has been out of action for several months following the unfortunate accident.He made 61 appearances during the three-year stay at Asante Kotoko, scoring two goals and providing four assists across the period.
