Michael Essien explains his role as Individual Talent Coach at FC Nordsjaelland

Former Ghana international Michael Essien has explained his role as an Individual Talent Coach at FC Nordsjaelland.The Chelsea icon has been working with the Danish Superliga club for the past four years in this capacity after acquiring his coaching licenses.Essien explained that his role involves having special one-on-one sessions with individual players, especially midfielders.He also added that his goal is to impart knowledge to the players and help elevate their careers to a different level.”Basically, its taking a one-on-one session with some of the players, especially the midfielders and stuff like that. So, yeah, Im trying to mentor them a little bit and give them a little advice that I can as an ex-pro, he told Joy Sports.Its kids that want to take their football to a different level. And, of course, they need some guidance, and you know, if they see me around, they will react to me and talk to me.So, I mean, it gives them something to learn. So, yeah, its been good so far.”
