Mia le Roux to reveal Miss Universe national costume at CTFW

Reigning Miss SA Mia le Roux revealed her Miss Universe national costume at Cape Town Fashion Week (CTFW: The Edit Spring Summer 24), starting on 29 November at the Hollywoodbets Kenilworth Racecourse.

The reigning Miss SA, Mia le Roux is set to reveal her Miss Universe national costume and other evening gowns, which she would have worn at the pageant, at Cape Town Fashion Week (CTFW: The Edit Spring Summer 24). The fashion event is taking place from Friday 29 November at the Hollywoodbets Kenilworth Racecourse.

CTFW features top designers from South Africa and the African continent. Mia withdrew from the Miss Universe pageant, just two days before the finale in Mexico City, Mexico. The beauty queen has since opened up about her struggle with vertigo.

“I am so excited to announce that I will be showcasing my national costume and one of my evening gowns at Cape Town Fashion Week. Countless of hours of work went into these two one-of-a-kind, magnificent pieces and I cannot wait to wear them proudly and share them with the rest of the world as well as the story behind them,” she said in a statement.

Miss SA will make her appearance on Saturday 30 November at 13h00, ahead of the exclusive AFI PRIVÉ show where visitors can experience the essence of sophistication with the PRIVÉ collection.

Stephanie Weil, the CEO of the Miss SA Organisation expressed that she is thrilled that Mia will reveal her national costume on home soil.

“We are thrilled that we will be able to reveal this year’s national costume on such an iconic stage as CTFW and on South African home soil. It is a gorgeous ensemble and we are delighted that South Africans will get to see what she would have worn to represent the country at the Miss Universe event in Mexico,” she said in a statement.

“The past month has been challenging but Mia has once again demonstrated her ability to triumph over any setbacks. We are extremely proud of her,” she continued.
