Melville restaurant responds to viral R1227 bill
Celebrity blogger Musa Khawula revealed on Monday, 4 November that patrons left a Melville restaurant without settling a R1227 bill.
“On the 1st of November 2024; a group of friends visited Jo’ Anna Melt Bar in Melville; Auckland Park and left without settling their R1227 bill,” said Khawula.
“These group of guys left the staffer with no choice but to settle the bill on their behalf or be fired. Please assist in locating and identifying the guys,” he added.
MELVILLE RESTAURANT: ‘IT WAS A SETTLED’
Mr Arrie who is the manager at Jo Anna Melt Bar in Melville confirmed to The South African on Tuesday, 5 November that the R1227 bill has been paid.
The manager also said it was a miscommunication, the patrons apologised and tipped the waiter.
He also reveals that the men settled the bill on Tuesday morning, 5 November.
The R1227 receipt shows that they bought 24 Corona’s and one Appletizer on Friday, 1 November.
