Busiro Ssaza technical team has named the final squad of 16 players that will be heading to FUFA Technical Center, Njeru for this year’s Masaza Cup tournament.
Head Coach Raymond Rukungu has retained ten players from the squad that featured in the 2019 edition where the team fell short of breaking it’s title jinx, loosing the final 1-0 to Bulemeezi at Namboole.
Goalkeeper Mutumba Hadadi alongside six defenders in Brian Kasule, Paul Wasswa, Mumbere Razak, Rubankene Samuel Tutu, Mubiru Edward and Robert Ssentongo have all been retained for this year’s Championship.

The ten retained players are joined by six new inclusions in goalkeeper Juma Kirabira (from Gomba Ssaza), Ssemwanga Ivan, Kirumira Tigan, Nyanzi Marvin, Usama Arafat and Ibrahim Kasenge who signed from Buganda Regional League entity, Lukaya Town Council.
Busiro Ssaza will however miss services of pivotal players Ivan Serubiri (URA FC), Senyonga Mickidad (URA FC), Ivan Mayanja (Express), and Kigozi Andrew Samson (KCCA FC), who have since moved on to the Uganda Premier League.
Busiro which was pitted in Bulange Group alongside Kyaggwe, Busujju, Buvuma and Buwekula, will be aiming for it’s first title since the tournament’s interception in 2004.
