It’s going to be a big fight! – Mngqithi

“We are playing against a team which normally gives us a hard time. Baroka is a hard running team, with some industrious players.” – Mamelodi Sundowns co-coach Manqoba Mngqithi said ahead of the clash.

“Makgopa, Mgaga are one of the major challenges defensively, because Makgopa is very direct and Mgaga is always looking to play from him. They also have Mbulu who gave us a hard time last time.

“In the midfield, they are little bit of a solid team. We are playing against a formidable side that has done very well. If you remember when they finished the year, they finished with Stellenbosch. They lost that match, but they probably created five or six clear chances in that match.

“And then they went to Stellenbosch this time round (in the Nedbank Cup) and they managed to come out with a result, in a territory that is difficult to play in. Mamelodi Sundowns are going in for a big fight. They’ve got nothing to lose.

“They are pushing to get out of the relegation, so naturally they will be motivated to give everything in this match. Usually when you are over-anxious, you are most likely to make a lot of mistakes.

“So, we do anticipate that they will make a lot of mistakes in the process of trying to get a result at all costs against us.”
