It is a timely boost for Masandawana with their CAF Champions League campaign getting underway on Sunday, 17 October with a clash against Congolese side AS Maniema Union.

“Mosa is back. He is training very well. He could have even been within the Bafana squad had he been given a chance to be in camp. We are confident that he is going to help us in the matches because he is looking good,” said Mamelodi Sundowns co-coach Manqoba Mngqithi.

“Physically he has not lost anything and we are happy to have him back.”

Lebusa, 29, has become a key player for the Tshwane giants in recent times and has captained the side on a number of occasions sharing the armband with Denis Onyango and Ricardo Nascimento.

The first leg of the CAF Champions League second preliminary round will take place in Kinshasa in the DR Congo at 16:00 SA time.

The second leg is scheduled for the following Sunday, 24 October at Loftus Versfeld (18:00).
