Malik Jabir replaces Kwesi Appiah as Asante Kotoko technical director

Ghana Premier League heavyweights Asante Kotoko have named club legend Malik Jabir as their new technical director, replacing James Kwesi Appiah.Jabir, a two-time CAF Champions League winner with the club, takes over the role from Appiah, who will remain involved with the club as a member of the Interim Management Committee.The announcement was made on Wednesday in a statement by the Porcupine Warriors.We are thrilled to announce the appointment of club legend and two-time CAF Champions League winner, Malik Jabir as the new technical director for the club, the club said in a statement.Coach James Kwesi Appiah who recently held the position will remain as a member of the clubs management team. Welcome Malik.Appiah had been in charge of the technical director position since August 2023, overseeing technical operations and player recruitment.During his tenure, he played a key role in recommending several Sudanese players for the club.Despite managing Asante Kotoko, Appiah also balances his duties as head coach of the Sudan national team.
