#MahamaHasNoCase: NPP supporters express optimism as Supreme Court rules on election petition case

Some supporters of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) are expressing optimism as the Supreme Court continues to sit on the 2020 election petition case as submitted by former President Mahama.

According to these supporters, Mahama has no case against the Electoral Commission (EC) and President Akufo-Addo which mean that the Supreme Court is not going to rule in his favour.

Pushing their views with the hashtag (#MahamaHasNoCase), these supporters believe the 2020 election was free and fair and Ghanaians rightfully and legitimately elected President Akufo-Addo, therefore, Mahama should not think of having the entire election overturned in the Supreme Court.

Mr Mahama is currently in court challenging the outcome of the 2020 presidential election as declared by the Electoral Commission. He is asking the Supreme Court to quash the election and call for a re-run between himself and the sitting president.
