In April, it was reported that Lira was unable to perform in Germany after the stroke and had returned to South Africa for treatment.

Shortly after receiving a nomination at the South African Music Awards (Samas) for the remix of her classic hit, Feel Good featuring DJ Maphorisa, Lira said she was slowly recovering.
