LIBERIA: Measles Hits Five Counties With 300 Suspected Cases,  Health Official Discloses

The Ministry of Health and Social Welfare has disclosed that five counties are on the alert as a result of a serious outbreak measles with over  three hundred   suspected cases of measles have been reported in five counties; announces 22 new coronavirus cases as of March 3, this year

Addressing the Ministry of Information press briefing Thursday, the director of expanded programs on humanization at the Ministry of Health, Adolphus Clarke said Montserrado, Maryland, Nimba, Bong and Margibi are counties reporting high number of measles cases in the Country.

According to Clarke, out of the three hundred twenty two measles cases, a laboratory test shows only seventy nine confirmed cases, as the latest report suggests that Liberia is periodically experiencing an outbreak of measles.

Adolphus Clarke at the same time indicated that Liberia has recorded 22 active coronavirus cases as of March 3, 2022.
