LIBERIA: “Giving Back To Zondo” Says Pastor Joah

Pastor St. Solomon Joah, Superintendent Soltiamon Christian School System

The founder of the Soltiamon Christian School System, Pastor St. Solomon Joah has vowed to given back Zondo Community in Grand Bassa County, in a prepared statement issued in Monrovia today, March 2, 202a, he noted that below:

“GIVING BACK TO ZONDO, is all about expressing of gratitude and appreciation to the people of this historic village. This Giving Back to Zondo is like one of the ten lepers that the Lord Jesus healed, this is exactly what Pastor St. Solomon Joah and his lovely wife, Tiangay S. Joah are doing by returning to this village to humanly share the blessings that God has poured upon their lives.

Speaking about their plans for Zondo, the Joahs said they have selected two among the many blessings received as a result of attending the Zondo Mid Mission in order to highlight the reasons for Giving Back To Zondo Project.

Narrating the reasons of Giving Back To Zondo, the Joahs said “After a fruitless educational journey in Buchanan at the age of sixteen, I did lay an educational foundation upon which the superstructure of my education stands. In 1968, my poor father brought my brother Jefferson A. Zeon and me to attend Mid-Liberia Baptist Elementary School.

“God honored His word as He gave me ability to move faster; from First Grade I was promoted to 3rd Grade.  I finished the elementary school earlier; I enrolled at the Christian High School, Tappita, Nimba County, and completed the Jr. High School. I graduated from Ricks Institute with honor.

“I earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree from AME Univeresity with high honor (Magnus Cum Laude), and the Master Degree from the University of Liberia also earned with honor.  With regards to the teaching of the word of God, the foes of truth consider me a force to reckon with, while the friends of the Gospel of Grace consider me a blessing for Bible-believing churches of Jesus Christ; some renowned Christian Educators look to me as asset of their profession”.

“Secondly, it was here, on the Mid-Liberia Baptist Mission, Zondo, that historic evening, when I did encounter the Lord Jesus Christ, Who soundly saved me from my sins.  I also learned from here that it is not enough to just believe and remain nominal; one must feed daily on the Bible, the very Word of God.

“Those principles of the pages of the Bible have become my guide, a lamp unto my feet and light unto my path. For the past more than fifty years, I have read through the sweet books chapter by chapter and verse by verse. I can say with absolute certainty that a nation, a people, or a tribe void of the knowledge of the truths of the Bible is doomed. Education saturated with God-breathed principles for life of the body, soul, and spirit that I received here is what my wife and I have decided to GIVE BACK ZONDO.

“We have decided to give Back to Zondo little bit more than what we received here in those days.  Realizing the sad trend that many of our brethren who left Zondo could not survive due to the harshness of the socio-economic terrain, Mrs. Joah and I have decided to include the Jr. & Sr. High school and College components to our plan. The elementary school component has been working in Zondo the past last five years.

“The High school Component should be ready to open in September next year in order to capture those completing Jr. High in September.  The College Component will be prepared within two years to be ready to receive the first high school graduates.  While the high school component is firmly operating, we shall pick up the Jr. High School component.  We have planned it this way because Zondo has been enjoying the opportunity of a Jr. High school since the government and community are operating a junior high school already.  Foster care home will be added to accommodate non-Zondo residents.

“If the Lord will touch your hearts to give, the project will serve many people soon and will continue to develop human resource capacity of the area in order to have individuals contribute to the development agenda of our country, especially Grand Bassa County.  This is our vision for GIVING BACK TO ZONDO”.
