Liberia: Barrolle On Course to Become LBA Champions
The club’s first match against Cestos Mogars on Friday ended 88-62 points, while Sunday’s match ended 70-57 points.
Monrovia–Mighty Barrolle Basketball team are on the verge of winning its fourth LBA first Division championship.

In the best-out-of-five series of the Liberia Basketball League final, the Rollers have won two games with a 2-0 lead.
The club’s first match against Cestos Mogars on Friday ended 88-62 points, while Sunday’s match ended 70-57 points.
Barrolle’s head Coach, Asaad R. Fedel, described his team two-straight wins against their Cestos Mogars as very encouraging, but called on his players to try their possible best to win their third game, scheduled for September 18, 2024. He said winning Wednesday’s game will surely give them the LBA first division championship title.
“First of all, I’m pleased to thank you guys for the strategic ball control you have continue to displayed from the start of the LBA national league up to the final but I’m urging you guys to maintain your classical ball exhibition and finishing touches in our third game which I believe will help us to win our third game and will secure is the championship, he said.
Cestos Mogars’ head coach, Zayzay G. Gizzie, for his part blamed his player’s failure to put into use the majority of scoring chances they got in both games but called on them to not give-up but to try their best to win their scheduled against Barrolle which he added will help them to get back on course for the title race.
“I think our players know very well that we have sustained two straight defeats in the final against Barrolle and any score less than victory for us in our third game will surely be crowned Barrolle champions of the LBA 2024 national league first division so to you my athletes try your best to win our third game so that we can get back on course for the title race,” he added.
In the female division, Commissioners beat IE 57 points 51 in the championship. In the male second division title race, Spartacus beats Highway King’s 60 points to 59 in Friday September 13 game.
