“As we exercise our democratic rights to choose who will lead us in the next 5 years and beyond, please let us also remember to put our lives first before anything else. I appeal to all the candidates to stay true to the SOPs because we aspire to be leaders of healthy and living people”, Minister Bahati said.

Bahati also requested the people of Kabale district and Kigezi region to continue voting for president Museveni and the NRM party because, ” it is the only solid political party to secure the future of our country.”

“Our candidate, His Excellency president Museveni has experience incomparable and unmatched. And the NRM performance record speaks for itself – roads, health units, schools, peace etc.”

“Museveni is a true  patriot and pan-Africanist  who has fought for the rights of our people and against the imperialist  forces  that continue to stand in the way for the progress and future of Africa”, said Bahati.

Bahati, who scored 90% in the NRM primaries, appealed to the population to embrace the NRM manifesto which focuses on improving household incomes and job creation among other themes.

“Let us join emyooga. We have put 240billion Ugx this year and we are putting more next year. The President has promised modern factories of Irish potatoes so we need to prepare and have enough production to feed these factories to be able to make money and get jobs for our children”, added minister Bahati.

Kabale is among the most hit districts in the country with the COVID-19 pandemic and has registered hundreds of positive cases since the outbreak in March 2020.
