Other celebrities who made an appearance on the show include Neil Tovey, MaMkhize, the late Patrick Shai and many more.

Motaung is the second veteran radio personality this season to join the fictional radio station after Ukhozi FM’s Linda Sibiya.

LINDA SIBIYA: ‘UZALO’ ROLE

Former Ukhozi FM radio personality Linda Sibiya also scored a cameo role on the SABC1 soapie Uzalo in February.

The radio personality, who is known as “Mr Magic” revealed to Zimoja that he’s thrilled about his role.

“I am so happy to join Uzalo, and I will be playing myself, which is something that comes natural.”

Sibiya also revealed that he’s done more TV presenting than acting, and he’s been presenting shows since 2001.

A source from Uzalo revealed to the publication that Sibiya’s role was created specifically for him to add more numbers to the show.

“The show is doing well already, but producers want more numbers, and with Linda’s huge following and with someone like him on the show. He is definitely going to bring more people.”

The legendary radio personality added that he’s over the moon about his latest character, and will debut on Thursday, 29 February.

Sowetan reported in 2018 that the Uzalo actor who hosted Ukhozi FM’s breakfast show got dismissed.
