Kurt Okraku urges patience in Ghana football reforms

Kurt OkrakuGhana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku has called for patience from football stakeholders, emphasizing that the GFA is actively addressing concerns raised by demonstrators.Speaking at the Parliamentary Select Committee hearing on Monday, September 30, 2024, Okraku responded to the Save Ghana Football Demonstrators, who petitioned for immediate reforms to elevate the nation’s football back to continental excellence.For the respect we have for this House and for the fact that all of us have a common shared vision, the vision is to deliver Ghana football the way it has to be delivered, Okraku said. He added that while the demonstrators raised valid points, many of their concerns had already been or were in the process of being addressed by the GFA.Okraku expressed disappointment that the group chose public protest over direct communication, stating that they have so many channels to address issues which are of great concern to them.” Nonetheless, he reiterated the GFAs commitment to improving Ghana football.
