Kumasi Goes Haywire As Nana Starts Tour
President Akufo-Addo was given a rousing welcome to the Ashanti region a while ago as he announced his presence on Kumasi-based Angel FM.
The FM station which is located at the famous Abrepo junction in the Bantama constituency is hosting the President on its morning show as part of activities lined up for his three-days tour of the Ashanti region.
He is being hosted by Kwame Tanko on the programme dubbed ‘Angel In The Morning’, literally bringing human and vehicular movement to a standstill with hordes of supporters having besieged the area to catch a glimpse of the President.
The police are not having it easy directing vehicular traffic from the Abrepo junction traffic light intersection which sonnets to Suame roundabout Bantama, Abrepo township and the famous Sofoline interchange.
Some passengers in commercial vehicles have had to alight and walk to their various destinations.
Even before he got to the location, people had lined up on the streets from Ahodwo to Abrepo junction to welcome him to town amid chants of ‘four more’ and ‘paapa oo dendei’.
His security detail had a difficult time walking him to and fro the studios of Angel FM.
The President has since left to Akomadan where he begins the tour.
