Kudu pastrami with cream cheese cucumber ribbons: A must-try

If you do not have much time but you want to prepare a delicious bite for your Valentine, try this kudu pastrami with cream cheese cucumber ribbons recipe. It is a delicious combination of rich flavours that will linger on your palate with each bite.

Pastrami is a Romanian dish but enjoyed worldwide. It is usually prepared with beef brisket, but to make this recipe interesting, we make use of kudu pastrami. To prepare the pastrami, place the raw meat in brine, then dry it and season with herbs and spices. Thereafter smoke and steam the pastrami.

The method of this recipe sets out a delightful way to serve the pastrami. Combining pastrami with cucumber ribbons filled with cream cheese makes for an appetising bite. The slightly baked cocktail tomatoes also pair perfectly with the pastrami.

125 g cocktail tomatoes

2 packets kudu pastrami

125 g rocket salad leaves washed

2 teaspoons balsamic vinaigrette

100 g cream cheese

6 cucumber ribbons

1 teaspoon salt of pepper

2 tablespoons olive oil


In a baking tray place, the cocktail tomatoes and add salt, pepper and olive oil. Then, put it in a heated oven for 5 minutes.
Put a teaspoon of cream cheese in each cucumber ribbon, then roll them up Do this with all the ribbons.
Place each packet of the kudu pastrami on a plate and make a base of it, Add a handful of the rocket onto the plate, then add the cream cheese ribbons and the cooked cocktail tomatoes. Season with balsamic vinaigrette and serve.
