Kotoko eager to augment squad to compete for GPL title
Prosper Narteh OgumAsante Kotoko are gearing up for a busy transfer window as the club seeks to bolster its squad and compete for the Ghana Premier League (GPL) title.Head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has revealed that negotiations are already underway to bring in multiple signings to enhance the team’s squad depth and competitiveness.According to Ogum, the club is targeting several key players to strengthen its lineup.”There are a lot. We are going to see a lot of signings, that is if all things go well. We’ve started a lot of talking and then we are sure that we will get them,” he stated.Ogum expressed optimism that ongoing discussions with potential targets will materialise successfully, ensuring the team is well-prepared for the challenges ahead.”So we are hoping and praying that things change and even if they do, they go in our favour so that we can augment the team,” he added.The Porcupine Warriors have already made a significant signing, acquiring Kwame Opoku on a free transfer. Opoku, who previously played for Kotoko before a stint abroad, brings experience and firepower to the team’s attack.
