Kotoko coach Prosper Ogum rallies players to move on from Legon Cities defeat
Prosper Narteh OgumAsante Kotokos head coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum, is calling on his players to put their recent 2-1 defeat to Legon Cities FC behind them and refocus on their upcoming fixtures in the Ghana Premier League.Wednesdays setback ended Kotokos seven-game unbeaten streak, but Coach Ogum remains optimistic, urging the team to maintain their positive mindset.Reflecting on the game, the coach acknowledged that its not unusual for strong teams to face unexpected losses.”It happens all over the world. He who is down fears no fall,” he noted, emphasising the competitive nature of the sport and the unpredictable turns any team can experience. The coach described the clash as a game of two halves, where Kotokos strong second-half performance, unfortunately, couldnt overturn the result. Its not the best way to lose, especially given how we played after the break. It shouldnt have happened, but it has. We just need to regroup and move forward, Coach Ogum added, rallying his players to embrace the lesson and channel their efforts into the next game. This Sunday, November 3, Kotoko will go head-to-head with Heart of Lions in a critical Week 9 match at Len Clay Sports Stadium.A victory would not only provide a much-needed morale boost but could also push Kotoko to the top of the league table.
