Azimio la Umoja running mate Martha Karua has exuded confidence that the coalition will win the elections in the first round with unanimously.
Speaking at Mugumo Primary in Gichugu constituency, after casting her vote, Karua urged the residents turn up and vote saying their vote will determine the direction the country will take.
Karua braved the early morning chilly weather to be among the first person to vote in her polling station before heading back home amid arrangements to have her parents vote later in the day.
Turn out remains low, due to the weather condition but residents who have already voted expressed optimism that others will vote in the course of the day.
Mugumo Presiding officer Rosaline Njoki said all is well at the polling station expressing confidence that the exercise will continue smoothly.
Security has been heightened across all polling stations in the County with each polling station assigned two security personnel.
