Kaizer Chiefs XI vs Sundowns: One surprise name recalled?

Kaizer Chiefs XI vs Sundowns: One surprise name recalled?

Kaizer Chiefs boss Nabi has been consistent in his defensive selection. However, he’s got several options in attack against Sundowns.

Nabi has made a good start to life at Kaizer Chiefs

With two wins from two Betway Premiership matches, Nasreddine Nabi has made the perfect start to his tenure as Chiefs boss. A 2-1 win over Marumo Gallants on Matchday 1 was followed by an impressive 3-1 win away to AmaZulu. Gaston Sirino has impressed with two assists and a goal in those two outings and he’ll pull the strings against his old club on Saturday.

Who should start vs Sundowns? Our prediction

Ntwari; Frosler, Miguel, Dortley, Cross; Zwane, Blom; Saile, Shabalala, Sirino; Chivaviro.

With Ashley Du Preez not yet trusted to start a game this term, Christian Saile and Wandile Duba have been the two options on the right-hand side of the attack.

Attackers win matches, defenders win titles

Chiefs started five of their brand-new signings against Gallants on the opening day with a virtually brand-new defense. Goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari was between the sticks and Inacio Miguel, Rushwin Dortley and Bradley Cross took their places in the back four. That same back five, along with right-back Reeve Frosler, started against AmaZulu and it would be a shock if they didn’t start together for a third game on the bounce against Sundowns. Angolan star Miguel further cemented his status as first-choice in the starting XI with a clinching goal against Usuthu.
