Hunt hoping for strikers to start firing

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Gavin Hunt is banking on his strikers to start finding the back of the net after a slow start in front of goal.

“I think it’s important to try and score a few goals, I think that’s something we’re lacking the cutting edge.” – Hunt said as quoted by Kick-Off.

“We’ve got a couple of good strikers but they haven’t scored, and that’s a problem. Our final pass wasn’t as good as it should have been at the end of the movement. But the pitch had a lot to do with that, I thought the pitch was very difficult to play on. Most importantly we (Kaizer Chiefs) scored an away-goal, but we can’t relax it’s only ‘half-time’.

“So we’ve still got another full game to go, they’ve got a lot of fight in that team and they’re a strong, physical team but hopefully we’ll have enough to try and make it a little easier and safer when we play in Johannesburg.”
