Kaizer Chiefs to wait 22 days
Kaizer Chiefs fans and players want to forget last weekend’s 4-0 loss to Mamelodi Sundowns quickly and forever. So what’s next for Amakhosi? The quick answer is plenty of training sessions.
KAIZER CHIEFS TO REMAIN OUT OF ACTION
While other clubs, such as Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns, will be playing in the league this week, Amakhosi will be absent midweek.
Additionally, the weekend will belong to the Carling Knockout semi-finals before the FIFA International break starts next week.
This means that Kaizer Chiefs’ next match will only be on the 27th of November at home to Richards Bay. That date is 22 days away from today.
UPDATES ON INJURIES
In other news, Kaizer Chiefs are moving closer to welcoming back a trio of injured players.
Speaking to the media before last Saturday’s Carling Knockout quarterfinals battle against Mamelodi Sundowns, coach Nabi said Amakhosi have to be careful with rushing George Matlou, Mduduzi Mdantsane and Tebogo Potsane.
“It’s true they’ve been injured for quite some time. All three are done with rehabilitation and are currently training with the group,” Nabi said via FARPost.
“They’ve joined the group and are training. But we need to be very careful how we integrate them into official matches.
“For example, George has been out for over a year; we need to give him time to train. We need to give them time to participate in friendly games and bring back connection with the teammates before we can think of incorporating them in official matches,” concluded the Kaizer Chiefs mentor.
