TAU SET TO LEAVE AL AHLY NEXT YEAR

Bafana attacker, Tau, has been linked with an exit for several months.

Surprisingly, he stayed at Al Ahly. However, now he looks set to finally leave the Egyptian giants.

“The issue with the coach was long resolved, you can see that Tau is happy at Al-Ahly. He’s enjoying his football again and is scoring goals for the team. The club is also happy with him hence they offered him a new deal, but Tau wants a new challenge,” the insider reported on Phakaaati.

Meaning, Tau is looking to leave the Egyptian giants in search of a new challenge.

“Tau feels that he has achieved what he wanted to achieve at Al-Ahly. I mean he has won everything that is to be won including the Champions League twice. So now he wants a new challenge,” he added.

CHIEFS PLANNING TO SIGN ATTACKERS IN JANUARY

Chiefs failed to sign any strikers during the recent PSL transfer window.

So, now Nabi and Amakhosi management are working hard to ensure they will sign an attacker or two in the next transfer window in January. Currently, they are preparing a bigger and better offer for Fiston Mayele. Meanwhile, Nabi has hinted at signing some of the best players in the world to Chiefs.

Therefore, Tau to Chiefs could be revisited in January. He is a top class striker and Amakhosi were linked with an interest in him in the recent transfer window. For Tau a return to the PSL would see him return to his country of birth. Meanwhile, Amakhosi management have given Nabi their full financial backing in pursuit of attackers.
