Kaizer Chiefs to host Richards Bay … in KwaZulu-Natal – CONFIRMED

Kaizer Chiefs will play the home DStv Premiership match against Richards Bay at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Saturday, 20 August.

The Soweto giants confirmed the news on social media on Thursday.

Many were quick to question the wisdom of such a move which seemingly gives their coastal rivals an advantage playing at, you guessed it, the coast.

Amakhosi wrote on Twitter: “Kaizer Chiefs are eagerly looking forward to the long-awaited return to their home away from home, Moses Mabhida stadium, when they host Richards Bay F.C. on Saturday evening, 20 August 2022 at 8pm.”

Kaizer Chiefs confirmed that ticketing information will be communicated in due course.

Prior to that match taking place, Kaizer Chiefs will face Mamelodi Sundowns this Saturday in Pretoria at 15:00, while Richards Bay will host host Sekhukhune United at 17:30 the same day.
