Kaizer Chiefs prospect scores 38 goals

Kaizer Chiefs’ U13 prospect Reatlegile Mosimane, son of Pitso, is on fire in front of goal. Here are the stunning statistics.

Rea Mosimane top scorer in the GDL U13s

Reatlegile Mosimane has stormed his way to the top of the scoring charts in the U13s with 38 goals in the season. His dad Pitso sounds happy.

“Congratulations to my son Reatlegile and the Kaizer Chiefs U13 team for winning the GDL U13 League,” Pitso Mosimane told Goal.

“Rea is also the Top Goalscorer in his age group. During my time in South Africa, I got to watch a couple of games and through the ups and downs, this team worked hard to achieve this award.

“Congratulations once again to Coach Bhamjee, his technical team and the all players.”

Pirates swoop in for Polokwane’s Matuludi, trumping Kaizer Chiefs?

Polokwane City defender Thabang Matuludi was initially on the Kaizer Chiefs wish list and Amakhosi were the frontrunners to sign the 24-year-old. Now, however, Pirates have taken the lead.

“Chiefs were leading the race to sign him and unfortunately for him, the move didn’t happen before the last transfer window closed,” an insider told Phakaaati.

“There have been enquiries about him and I’m told Pirates are also monitoring the situation. Remember Chiefs wanted to also get his teammate Oswin Appollis but that move also didn’t happen because the City chairman is a hard man to convince into selling,” he added.

Khune leaves a lasting legacy at Kaizer Chiefs

Itumeleng Issac Khune was the rare honour of being a one-club man. Famous around the world for his sensational distribution of a football, he’s also displayed superb shot-stopping abilities for club and country down the years. Khune made his PSL debut for Amakhosi against Jomo Cosmos in August 2007. In the 17 years that have elapsed, he has scooped seven major honours with the Glamour Boys, including three Betway Premiership crowns in 2005, 2013 and 2015 and amassed 347 appearances. This guy was also PSL Footballer of the Year in 2013. Say what you will, but Khune is a bona fide Amakhosi legend. He’s also got 91 Bafana caps.
