KHUNE TO LEAVE CHIEFS?

Khune has outrightly stated that he does not want to transition into a coaching role at Chiefs.

Furthermore, this is the former Bafana Bafana and Amakhosi legends response to Amakhosi management opting against renewing his playing contract.

“The passion and love for the game is still there, I can still deliver when called upon, look at Dennis Onyango, I’m younger than him and he’s still playing at Sundowns,” Khune stated on Phakaaati.

So, this leaves us with one option.

Khune will have to leave Chiefs if he is to coninue his storied and illustrious career. In fact, Khune confirmed, yet again, that he intends on playing until he is 40.

“I want to play longer, into my 40s that’s why I am still hopeful but again, my heart, I cannot control. I feel I can go back tomorrow and play, the next day I wake up with pains everywhere and think it’s fine, let’s leave it,” he added on the same publication.

POTENTIAL PSL SUITORS MONITORING KHUNE’S NEXT MOVE

PSL rivals, Sekhukhune United have expressed interest in signing Khune before.

Meaning, if he decides to continue playing then we could see Khune join another side in the Betway Premiership. As mentioned, Sekhukhune is interested. Additionally, they have twice expressed interest in Khune. Therefore, they will likely make an offer if the Amakhosi legend decides to not hang up his boots.

Furthermore, Khune is a legend and icon of SA Football so his experience will provide priceless value to any side he joins.

SHOULD KHUNE RETIRE AND TAKE UP A COACHING ROLE AT CHIEFS OR SHOULD HE CONTINUE PLAYING AND JOIN ANOTHER SIDE IN THE BETWAY PREMIERSHIP?
