Kaizer Chiefs in talks to offload R10 million flop after one season!

So far, Chiefs have signed seven players, while they have offloaded five with both numbers likely to increase today.

Chiefs have been restructuring their squad

As it stands, Chiefs have roped in the services of Bongani Sam from arch rivals Orlando Pirates. They continued to sure up their defence, with the signings of Rushwin Dortley and Fiacre Ntwari. The defender joining from Cape Town Spurs while the goalkeeper signed from TS Galaxy. It didn’t stop there as Gaston Sirino, Inacio Miguel, Bradley Cross and Njabulo Blom

It is believed that Chiefs are still in the market to further strengthen their squad. Two more signings, a winger and striker have been touted. Having already missed out on Elias Mokwana and Khanyisa Mayo, they are now looking at Oswin Appollis. It was thought that the Polokwane City star is heading to Algeria, but that move doesn’t seem to have materialised. That seems to have given Amakhosi a chance to steal in.

In terms of outgoings, Chiefs have seen Sifiso Hlanti, Keagan Dolly, Siyethemba Sithebe, Njabulo Ngcobo and Jasond Gonzales depart. It still remains to be seen what the final conclusion will be regarding club veteran Itumeleng Khune. With a whole host of departures expected at Naturena tomorrow, Sibongiseni Mthethwa could be one of them.

According to SABC Sport, Chiefs are in talks with PSL new boys Magesi FC over a move for Mthethwa.

Looking to offload Mthethwa

“Kaizer Chiefs and Magesi FC are in discussions over a possible loan deal for midfielder Sibongiseni ‘Ox’ Mthethwa before the transfer window closes on Friday night, SABC Sport has been informed. Chiefs are understood to have informed Mthethwa he is surplus to requirements under new coach Nasreddine Nabi and have been offering him to several clubs in the Premier Soccer League.” Wrote the publication.

It now remains to be seen if Magesi and Chiefs can finally reach an agreement over Mthethwa before the deadline. Amakhosi fans, how do you feel about the potential departure of ‘Ox’? Feel free to leave your thoughts and feelings in the comments below.
