Kaizer Chiefs: Fan-favourite linked with move to PSL rivals!
This Kaizer Chiefs fan-favourite is linked with a move to Amakhosi’s PSL rivals.
Kaizer Chiefs defender, Happy Mashiane is linked with a likely January exit out of Naturena.
Moreover, not one but two Betway Premiership sides are interested in signing him.
CHIEFS DEFENDER ATTRACTS INTEREST FROM PSL RIVALS
Amakhosi defender and fan-favourite, Mashiane has draw interest from AmaZulu and SuperSport United.
“There is interest in Happy (Mashiane). Actually two clubs have inquired about him, SuperSport United inquired about him at the start of the season but nothing came out of that. They only have Neo Rapoo as their main left back and they wanted the more experienced Mashiqne in that position. Now they re back on for him and then there is Amazulu who want him to cover for Riaan Hanamub. And remember coach Arthur Zwane knows him better and believes in him. So it will depend on negotiations with Chiefs and the clubs,” the insider stated on SNL.
So, SuperSport United have re-visited interest in Mashiane.
Meanwhile, AmaZulu are keen to bring him to eThekwini. Meaning, Mashiane has options.
Ultimately, he has struggled for game time in recent seasons and nothing has changed under Nasreddine Nabi. Therefore, it is in the players best interest to find a club that gives him more playing time.
AMAKHOSI STAR TO LEAVE FOR FREE?
Interestingly, Mashiane could leave Chiefs and join one of these sides for free.
“They could lose him for free. Yes, his contract expires in June 2025 and he hasn’t heard anything from the club. Also, remember he is like third choice at the club in the left back position with Bradley Cross and Bongani Sam ahead of him. And they signed both players while he was there and that showed that his future is on the edge at the club and now with two clubs looking at his services he could leave for free,” they added.
Meaning, a January exit is for likely.
SHOULD CHIEFS LOAN OR SELL MASHIANE PERMANENTLY?
