Kaizer Chiefs-bound Siyethemba Sithebe is at least NOT entirely banned by AmaZulu who are not satisfied by his decision to leave them.
Sithebe signed a pre-contract with Amakhosi during the January transfer window after he had entered the final six months.
According to Sithebe’s uncle and agent Musa Sithebe, the dreadlocked midfielder is still allowed to train with Usuthu.
However, Sithebe is not selectable after the AmaZulu management instructed Benni McCarthy and his technical team not to.
For AmaZulu, this is their way of punishing Sithebe who they claim signed the said pre-contract with Chiefs, didn’t do it in good faith.
Sithebe’s uncle further revealed that at some point, McCarthy wanted to include the midfielder in his Usuthu team but he couldn’t due to the differences with the club.
SITHEBE IS STILL TRAINING WITH AMAZULU DESPITE BEING BANNED
“Yes, that’s correct, Siyethemba has confirmed he is still training with the team.
“At some stage the coach wanted to include him in the [playing] squad but because of the issues he could not,” Sithebe’s uncle told Sowetan.
